Two projects at Boswells Farm in Wendover; Dairy Cottage and Middle Distance, have been completed by Care Building Services.
Dairy Cottage is a two bedroom detached house which has sat derelict for a number of years. Set within the Chiltern’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Green Belt, located on a working farm estate in Wendover. Dairy Cottage has undergone substantial alteration and refurbishment works with further attention given to the single detached garage accompanying the house. A new single storey rear extension accommodates a new fully integrated kitchen and downstairs wc; a new porch built to the front completes the entrance to the house. An air source heat pump, new underfloor heating system and a new electrical system were installed, alongside a new bathroom suite and high specification internal finishes. Landscaping works with a hardstanding for vehicle parking were completed to complement the finished project.
An individually designed two bedroom, two bathroom new build bungalow set within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Green Belt. Middle Distance has been designed to appreciate the landscape qualities of the area whilst located on a working farm estate. The bungalow features aluminium bi fold doors, a feature fireplace in the lounge, oak internal doors and oak flooring throughout. Underfloor heating in all rooms, an air source heat pump, a fully fitted integrated kitchen and bathrooms alongside a high specification of finishes, complete this individual bungalow. Landscaping works provide a hardstanding for vehicle parking and an enclosed garden space.

Care Building Services have begun 2017 with successful apointment as main contractor for two substantially sized new build family homes.
The first project commencing work on site is 'Windyridge' in Chalfont St Peter. Works awarded include the demolition of the existing property and construction of a five bedroom, three storey family home with integrated garage. This new home will occupy a prominent position within the leafy village and enhance the area surrounding.
The project at 'The Lodge' in Penn boasts construction of a six bedroom family home with detached double garage and studio above. Set within the Chilterns A.O.N.B., the existing house will be demolished to allow the construction of a high specification home and will feature a fully glazed structure encapsulating the southern aspect. Works are due to commence on site early Spring.
Whiteleaf House is a grand six bedroom family home situated in the Chilterns Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) and the Whiteleaf Conservation Area. The works to the existing house involved demolition of an existing two storey wing and modern single storey kitchen extension. Works awarded to Care Building Services included a part, single storey rear extension alongside associated internal and external alterations and enabling ground works.
Works commenced back in the early summer months of 2016 and completion is estimated for spring 2017. The programme of works are progressing well with external rendering, internal plastering and second fix electrical and plumbing works currently being undertaken.

The awards looked for vital elements in the creation of excellent buildings: outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability and high performance.
